At visual analysis it shows a brilliant red ruby color. Pleasant to drink, it shares a rightly pronounced acidity and freshness, typical of the grape, and slight flavors of red berries, with a decidedly vinous accent.
Delicious with pasta with meat sauce, such as agnolotti, fettuccine or the typical tajarin, followed by chicken "cacciatora", "mixed bollito with bagna cauda", roasts, cured meats or cheeses not seasoned too much.
Why we like it
Just a drop ('na stisa, as they say in Piedmont) to begin to appreciate the classic Piedmontese grape, Barbera, vinified in purity by La Roncaglia, and make it our inseparable companion in convivial evenings with our friends. The vineyard is located in the municipality of La Morra at an altitude of 280 m above sea level, with south-east exposure, simple guyot plantation system, planted in 2001. After vinification, it is aged for no less than eight months in 1,600 liters Allier barrels and bottled for at least other four months. A classic Barbera, presented with a label painted by a famous artist, which underlines the indissoluble bond of La Roncaglia with the values of the territory, the quality and the pleasure for beautiful things.
